This mama-to-be contacted me last minute for her maternity session in Rancho Palos Verdes and everything sort of fell into place. I was available, she knew where she wanted to go, and already had her maternity outfits planned! When we met the sun was just starting to set and made for beautiful golden photos. This beach has two great spots! First, there’s an overlook spot with tall weeds that capture the golden light just right. Then as you keep walking down you hit the beach. It’s never crowded and there is some greenery which adds some life to the photos. This Palos Verdes beach was the perfect spot for a maternity session.

P’s first outfit was a blue, off-the-shoulder flowy dress that contrasted nicely with the golden light. The ocean was just far enough out of view that her dress didn’t blend with the background. Her second outfit was a pleated yellow dress that definitely popped out from the sandy beach scenery at the beach below. Both dresses framed her baby bump perfectly and I liked that they weren’t skin tight like most maternity dresses can be! I always will recommend to go with a more flowy option if you’re wearing a dress to our session!

These two made it so fun and easy to photograph them. They were all smiles and super easy to talk to and direct. I had never been to Palos Verdes for any session. I am super happy that they showed me this beautiful location. This session was photographed a little over a year ago from me writing this post, so I recently got to photograph their little one’s first birthday too!! Love being able to continue working with returning clients!
