These two wanted to shoot their engagement session in Downtown LA with a fun hotel/bar date night vibe. I had been dying to shoot some flash photos in a hotel, so this was the perfect opportunity! We met in front of the Ace Hotel to take some shots in the street while the sun was setting behind the buildings. The cars and people in the background definitely added to the downtown feel! After that, we utilized the buildings in the area like the vibrant blue Eastern Columbia lofts, the classic vintage marquee at the Orpheum theater, and the Urban Outfitters nearby. I loved addings some filmy edits to this session because it made the photos feel like stills from a movie!

After we finished up outside, we headed indoors for some fun flash photos at the Ace Hotel. The employees were super nice to us, and let us use their hotel luggage carts for some photos! We made sure to be super respectful and tried to not cause any disruption to the hotel. My favorite part of the session was taking pictures of my couple inside the infamous Ace Hotel photo booth. Those photos came out looking so fun and cute, AND my couple obviously got to take home a physical memory of their engagement session with me!

We finished up at a bar, and I took a few photos before departing and leaving them alone to enjoy the rest of their evening. Having your engagement session photographed in Downtown LA will always be a favorite for me!
