Gina and Yoshi reached out to me to photograph their Point Dume Malibu elopement when they realized they could no longer have their large wedding in 2020. Gina had seen my previous elopement I had done at Point Dume and immediately knew she needed me to capture her special day! She was an absolute pleasure to work with, we always talked on Instagram and continue to talk to this day.
The days leading up to their elopement Gina and I had a running joke of sending each other vomit emojis to show her excitement for her elopement. When I finally met Gina in person it felt like I was photographing an old friend from high school! We were so excited to see each other and I feel like our friendship that formed over Instagram helped the day run smooth.
The evening started off with a first look on an enclosed platform overlooking the water. It was SUPER windy that day but Gina and Yoshi made it work and they looked like models. After we did their first look we quickly moved on to family portraits and bridal portraits. This was when we started the ceremony as the sun was finally starting to set over the horizon. Gina and Yoshi were still able to do a Catholic ceremony even though it was an elopement, and it was beautiful! I’m so happy to have been part of this day to capture another Point Dume Malibu elopement. I know I’ll be friends with Gina and Yoshi always!
I want to give a special shoutout to the rest of the team that made this day special! Kendall is an amazing videographer based in Los Angeles. Joyce of Tatum and Charlie made the most beautiful arrangements. Veronica of HMN by Veronica beautified my bride and made her picture ready. This day would not have ran so smoothly without them!
