Shooting a Joshua Tree wedding will always be a fav for me. The sunset with the desert landscape is always beautiful for photos! These two got got married in Joshua Tree last year, and truly made it their own. They had their closest relatives with them to celebrate, even their 2 little ones, and it was the perfect intimate wedding.
The whole family stayed together at an AirBnB property. This is where they stayed, and it had enough room to fit all their guests. It also was decorated/painted so nicely that it made for some really great detail and getting ready shots! Before heading into the park the bride and groom did a quick first look just outside the property.
When it was time to go, everyone packed up into their own car and began their trek Joshua Tree National Park. The bride already knew where she wanted to go and so everyone parked and started the short walk to the ceremony location. The ceremony was fairly quick, and the sun set just as it concluded. We did a few family photos before getting started on the bride and groom’s intimate portraits.
We had plenty of time to shoot and I was able to incorporate a few maternity shots into the time we had since they were expecting. Once we were done, we headed back to the AirBnb and they cut into their delicious Nothing Bundt Cake. Before I left, they made sure to feed me lots of BBQ that they had catered. It was the perfect way to end the night before my 2 hour drive back home!
