El Matador Beach engagement sessions are my favorite to photograph. So, officially meeting these two during the summer of last year to take photos there was a fun time! I met them on the coast and picked them up to save time on looking for a parking spot! The parking lot at this specific beach has very limited parking so I recommend getting there early to have time to find parking, or going in the same car.. OR having an amazing fiancé, who drive you all to the beach and drops you off while he waits in the car while you shoot!

We drove to El Matador Beach and headed straight down to the sand and the ocean. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the parking lot and usually packed!! We made sure to avoid the large groups of people so it looks like we had the beach to ourselves! We began their engagement session in a casual outfit and did some fun poses in the water near the rocks! This is why I love photographing an El Matador Beach engagement! The fact that there is sand and rocks, and overlooks-it’s the best spot for a variety of photos!

As the sun set behind the cliffside of El Matador we headed back up top to the overlook area of the beach to get some photos of my couple in their formal outfits for more intimate, romantic shots. They poured champagne while overlooking the ocean and we finished their engagement session with silhouette photos under the moon.

This El Matador Beach engagement as one for the books and I cannot wait for their wedding day!!
